Cookie policy.
A simple explanation of the essential storage we use to make this website work.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of data that websites can save in your browser. Some are required for a website to function, while others may be used for analytics or advertising. Websites can also use browser storage, which works similarly for certain purposes.
2. What we use on this website
Our website is built to work without analytics or advertising trackers. The following storage supports essential functionality and remembers your notice preference.
- crate_site_session (cookie): a temporary session identifier supporting our contact-form security token and enquiry feedback. It normally expires when your browser session ends.
- crate_cookie_notice_v1 (local storage): saves the fact that you dismissed the cookie information notice so it does not reappear on every page. It remains until you clear site data or reopen the notice.
Our design also requests Google Fonts for typography; this involves a network request to Google. We do not currently load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising-cookie scripts.
3. Your choices
The session cookie supports the security of a service you may request through our contact form. You can block or delete cookies and site data using your browser settings, though this may prevent the contact form from submitting correctly.
Use the “Cookie information” link in our website footer to view the notice again. The notice is informational, not a request for consent to optional tracking, because the website does not currently run optional tracking.
4. If our use changes
If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics that require consent, we will update this policy and provide suitable controls before such technologies are used. This policy was prepared in November 2026.
